New construction of this pier and floating dock required specific materials to meet the Order of Conditions. The boardwalk decking is a product called Thru-Flow. The panels are constructed to allow for light to pass through to the marsh underneath the structure. Providing light to pass through allows the ecosystem to continue to thrive. This project was designed to provide seasonal access to the water without significant intrusion to the surrounding wetlands. The dock and float system are removed and installed by our Maintenace team each year.
