Revetments, jetties and groins control the movement of water and sand, and are critical in preventing coastal erosion. Beacon Marine and its predecessors have built dozens of protective structures throughout Southeastern Massachusetts, including stonework that can be seen protecting the bluffs in New Seabury and Buzzards Bay. This waterfront infrastructure project was a multifaceted use of equipment and crew skills. Steel sheet piling was used in this setting due to its strength and loadbearing capacity. Stones were placed in front of the wall to reduce erosion’s impact. This project was 100% self-performed by Beacon Marine, using our heavy equipment, cranes, and vibratory hammer.
